One of the greatest players to ever play the game of lacrosse has agreed to be the Head Coach of Brotherly Love 2022.  Frank Urso remains one of only four players ever named a 4 x 1st Team All American for the University of Maryland where he led them to two National Championships.  He is currently the Head Coach of Garnet Valley High School Boys Lacrosse and Head Coach of the Under-Armour Underclass All-American team for the past 3 years.  Building upon the national tournament success of the highly regarded Brotherly Love 2023 and 2024 teams, Urso has agreed to coach the 2022 team for the next two years with the goal of competing at the highest level.

Additionally, Coach Urso has agreed to be the Recruiting Coordinator for aspiring collegiate players in the Brotherly Love club system.  Co-Founder of Brotherly Love, Wade Goldt, cites not only Urso’s credentials as a Hall of Fame Player, but also his passion to coach the next generation of Philadelphia area elite players.  Goldt notes that Brotherly Love teams have only played together for two years as the club was started prior to the 2015 season.  We look forward to elevating our individual skills by augmenting our off season with a combination of positional skills sessions, box leagues, and year round Sunday practices.  We built our club on respecting community lacrosse teams, promoting the multi-sport athlete, and recognizing there is such a thing as “too much lacrosse” but we also recognize that with a focus on “getting better” we have a nucleus of players that can compete with any team in the country and Frank Urso is critical to our success.

If you are in the graduating class of 2022 and want to be coached by a legend of the game we invite you to open tryouts on Sunday August 28th.  Click here to register for tryouts
